President/Chief Executive Officer:
Jordan grew up in Riverwoods, IL and attended the University of Kansas where he studied Communications. After college, Jordan worked on The Mercantile Exchange floor on the customer side with Cargill. After a couple years on the floor, Jordan changed industries to work as a Scrap Metal Broker for Tube City IMS. Jordan worked his way up through the ranks quickly culminating in becoming a Regional Manager and opening an office in Dallas, TX to cover the Southwest and Mexico trading ferrous metals. After seven plus years with TCIMS, Jordan left to start his own scrap metal trading company, JHS Metals Trading. Jordan traded non-ferrous scrap metals for seven and a half years moving metals domestically and overseas to China, India and Europe. Through a friend, Jordan got a connection to act as a commission agent for USA Truck. Jordan took all the customers he bought metals from or sold to and turned them into trucking customers. He built up his business for a couple of years before transitioning and starting Authentic Logistics with the goal to help fill in the gaps where he saw issues in the logistics business. Jordan is married with two young children. He enjoys working out, Chicago (except Cubs) and University of Kansas sports and coaching his kid’s sports teams.
Chief Financial Officer:
Marlee grew up in Minneapolis, MN and attended college at the University of Kansas. Marlee graduated with a business degree, and a major in finance. She started her career as analyst at Bank of America in the Commercial Bank. After three years at Bank of America, Marlee moved to La Salle Bank where she spent seven years in the Commercial Bank working her way up to Vice President. After spending time in the corporate world, Marlee realized she preferred the atmosphere of a small business. While she still loved Chicago, Marlee had an opportunity to work for her brother who owned a scrap recycling company in Minneapolis. Marlee was hired as the CFO at Alliance Steel in 2009, where she spent ten years growing the company, with her brother, through many acquisitions and internal growth. In 2018 they sold the company to a third party and she decided that it was time to stop traveling back and forth. Authentic Logistics has been a perfect fit for Marlee.

Jeffrey Weiss currently lives in Chicago, Illinois. He was born in a northern suburb of Chicago, but spent the majority of his childhood in Florida, (Jacksonville for 9 years and then South Florida for 3 years) before moving back to Chicago at the age of 14. Jeffrey graduated from Roosevelt University located in Chicago, Illinois; where he was able to gain valuable experience interning for a logistics company here in Chicago. Jeffrey has been working in logistics for 5 years and has a strong passion for this industry! Aside from his family and friends, he has a huge love for sports!
Dry Van/Flatbed/Heavy Haul:
Charlie began his career in the logistics brokerage industry in early 2018 after more than a decade as an actor and musician. He has appeared in numerous commercials and tv shows including The Office and has recorded and released 2 albums. A native of Los Angeles, CA he graduated from the University of Kansas in 2001.
Customer Sales Reps:
Brian Shapiro is an Account Executive with over a decade of successful sales and management experience. Brian joins Authentic Logistics after working in the Sports Industry for the past 10 years. Brian was previously the Director of Sales for the Iowa Wild Hockey team (AHL) and most recently the Group Sales Manager for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL) and BB&T Center. Brian was born and raised in Chicago and received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Iowa. When Brian has down time he enjoys traveling, going to sporting events, attending concerts, and working on puzzles.
Danny grew up in Northbrook, IL and attended college at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He majored in Communications with a minor in Animal Sciences. After college, Danny worked at a logistics company as a carrier sales representative and in carrier compliance. Danny is an easy-going, relaxed person, who enjoys going outdoors or lying on his couch. In his free time, Danny likes to play with his animals and video games. Not only is Danny a casual video player, but he also plays in tournaments occasionally. Another activity Danny enjoys is playing the drums, which he’s been doing for several years.
Laynie is a recent graduate of Tulane University where she received both her Bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology and her Master’s degree in English. Prior to starting with Authentic Logistics, Laynie worked at the School of Liberal Art’s Dean’s Office at Tulane University and interned with government agencies at both the local and federal level. In her spare time Laynie enjoys reading and playing rugby.
